As a Front Office Team Leader at Accor, you will provide guests with warm and efficient service upon their arrival, during their departure, and while addressing any queries they may have.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Possess a comprehensive understanding of front office operations, including front desk, porter desk, reception/cashiering procedures, PABX functions, and reservations.
  2. Demonstrates a strong grasp of each department’s functions within the hotel, the physical layouts of the hotel facilities, key personnel, and their roles, daily functions, special events, and current and upcoming conventions and groups.
  3. Assists in conducting training sessions for all Front Office employees.
  4. Directs the daily operations of the front office.
  5. Extends a warm welcome and provides special attention to Very Important Guests, ensuring their needs are met.
  6. Handles credit issues effectively.
  7. Ensures the porter service is efficient and courteous.
  8. Supervises front cashiers and assists with accounting problems when needed.
  9. Conducts evening patrols and inspections of public areas to ensure orderliness.
  10. Manages hotel duty keys and floats during their shift.
  11. Undertakes any other tasks as directed by Front Office Management.
  12. Assists in devising new procedures and guidelines to enhance the Front Office Department.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 6 to 12 months of supervisory-level experience in front-office operations in hotels.
  • Motivated, proactive, and a team player who takes initiative.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must possess a current New Zealand General Manager certificate or be eligible to obtain one.
  • LCQ Certification.
  • Willingness to work on a rotating roster.
  • Assumes responsibility for the hotel in the absence of the management team.
