Responsibilities:
As a Framing Carpenter, your responsibilities will include:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Preparing layouts in conformance with building codes, using measuring tools.
- Measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems.
- Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
- Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.

- Work Site Environment: At heights, confined spaces, noisy, dusty.
- Work Setting: Construction, various locations; renovation, maintenance, and repair, commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Bending, crouching, kneeling.

- Handling heavy loads.
