A leading General Contractor in Northern Virginia is seeking an experienced Construction Project Executive to join our team. This full-time, on-site position oversees multiple commercial construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, leadership skills, and experience handling ground-up commercial projects ranging from $10M to $50M.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to take the next step in their construction management career, whether as a Senior Project Manager ready for advancement or a Project Executive with less than 15 years of industry experience. Job Summary
- Location: Northern Virginia
- Salary: $165,000 – $190,000 base salary
- Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time
Job Requirements
To qualify for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Experience: 8-15 years of experience in managing commercial construction projects
- Leadership: Current Senior Project Manager or Project Executive with experience leading ground-up commercial construction projects up to $50M
- Software Proficiency: Experience with project management software, including Procore
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities
As a Construction Project Executive, your tasks will include:
- Managing the entire lifecycle of commercial construction projects
- Developing and executing comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Managing coordination efforts with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes
- Monitoring project progress and implementing necessary adjustments
- Resolving construction-related challenges efficiently
- Maintaining strong client relationships, providing updates, and addressing concerns
- Preparing and presenting detailed project reports to senior management
- Overseeing successful project closeouts and ensuring contractual obligations are met
Other Responsibilities
- Identifying and mitigating project risks to ensure successful delivery
- Assisting in business development efforts and fostering new client relationships
- Providing mentorship and guidance to project teams
- Overseeing subcontractor selection and contract negotiations
- Implementing process improvements to enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness
