Job Requirements for Grounds Worker Position
To be considered, applicants should meet the following criteria:
- A current, full Class 1 driver’s license (manual transmission)
- Physically fit and able to perform demanding outdoor tasks
- Strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, motivated attitude with a willingness to help teammates
- Ability to use a smartphone or similar tech is a plus
Responsibilities for Grounds Worker Position
- Maintain public green spaces including gardens, playgrounds, and parks
- Prune trees and shrubs, cut flax, and handle planting tasks
- Weed eating, hedge trimming, and edging
- Spray herbicides and remove invasive/pest plants manually
- Support wider team operations and follow safety procedures
