Job Requirements for Part-Time Bartender Position
To be considered for this role, applicants should meet the following:
- Prior bartending experience preferred in a fast-paced or fine-dining environment
- Knowledge of local and international beverage trends
- Ability to prepare drinks, garnishes, and maintain bar hygiene
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and well-presented with a commitment to food safety and workplace health standards
- Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
Responsibilities for Part-Time Bartender Position
- Receive, process, and deliver drink orders with accuracy and efficiency
- Handle payments and follow cash management protocols
- Prepare drink garnishes to established standards
- Maintain cleanliness, stock levels, and bar organisation
- Keep all bar equipment, glassware, and utensils clean and functional
- Ensure bar area complies with food safety and workplace health regulations
- Adhere to policies regarding wastage, breakages, and grooming standards
- Maintain the bar display to optimize function and presentation
- Support team morale and attend service meetings
- Collaborate professionally with FOH and kitchen teams
Other Responsibilities
- Report hazards or workplace concerns to management
- Uphold Ahi’s standards of service and presentation
- Monitor and manage inventory and stock usage
- Support a positive and professional environment across departments
- Handle property and equipment with care and accountability
