Job Requirements for Housekeeping Supervisor Position
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hotel environment
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift/move heavy items
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Attention to detail and high standards for cleanliness and guest satisfaction
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Basic computer skills for digital reporting and task tracking
Responsibilities for the Housekeeping Supervisor Position
As a Housekeeping Supervisor, your key duties will include:
- Inspecting rooms post-cleaning to ensure they meet guest-ready standards
- Assigning daily cleaning tasks and monitoring staff performance
- Completing and reviewing housekeeping checklists, reports, and system entries
- Responding to guest requests and coordinating timely service delivery
- Supporting training, coaching, and performance reviews of housekeeping staff
- Enforcing safety and hygiene protocols throughout the department
- Managing supply inventory and placing orders as needed
- Ensuring efficient and safe operation of housekeeping equipment
- Communicating professionally with guests and internal departments
