Job Description:
As a Food and beverage service colleague at Harvest Restaurant, you will be at the forefront of creating extraordinary dining experiences for our esteemed guests. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Serving at the bar and/or restaurant, attending to guests with warmth and genuine hospitality.
- Assisting guests in navigating the menu, making thoughtful recommendations, and ensuring their dining preferences are catered to.
- Taking precise orders and efficiently delivering food and beverages to guests’ tables.
- Assisting guests with inquiries, dietary requirements, or special requests.
- Possessing comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including local and international wines and cocktails.
- Maintaining a clean and presentable dining area, ensuring tables are set up meticulously.
- Handling payments with courtesy and providing accurate bills to guests.
- Collaborating seamlessly with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Adhering strictly to health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe dining environment.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Previous experience in food and beverage service or a related customer-facing role is advantageous, but we also welcome enthusiastic newcomers to the industry.
- A true passion for providing exceptional customer service and crafting memorable guest experiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with guests and team members.
- A proactive and positive attitude, thriving in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to upholding a clean and tidy dining area.
- Knowledge of food, beverage, and wine service and eagerness to learn about local beers, wines, and cocktails.
