Job Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria to be successful:
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience working with kiwifruit orchards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to lead teams of 8–10 staff.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage workflows and resources effectively.
- Positive attitude and resilience under pressure.
- A full driver’s license and willingness to travel across Aongatete, Katikati, and Athenree.
- Must be a permanent resident of New Zealand.
Responsibilities
- Leading and motivating teams through seasonal orchard tasks.
- Managing and planning daily workflows, setting team targets, and organizing resources.
- Providing on-the-job training and feedback to improve staff performance and quality.
- Submitting timesheets and contributing to operational planning.
- Performing skilled orchard work such as pruning, grafting, and vine management.
- Supporting employee development and resolving team issues where necessary.
- Collaborating with other supervisors to problem-solve and share best practices.
- Reporting directly to the Orchard Manager.
