Orchard Supervisor Needed at Cultivate Horticulture

Cultivate Horticulture, a forward-thinking horticulture management company based in Katikati, Bay of Plenty, is hiring a full-time Orchard Supervisor to lead and support their team in managing organic kiwifruit and avocado orchards. Job Requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be successful:

• At least 4 years of hands-on experience working with kiwifruit orchards.
  
• Strong leadership and communication skills to lead teams of 8–10 staff.
  
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage workflows and resources effectively.
  
• Positive attitude and resilience under pressure.
  
• A full driver’s license and willingness to travel across Aongatete, Katikati, and Athenree.
  
• Must be a permanent resident of New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Leading and motivating teams through seasonal orchard tasks.
  
• Managing and planning daily workflows, setting team targets, and organizing resources.
  
• Providing on-the-job training and feedback to improve staff performance and quality.
  
• Submitting timesheets and contributing to operational planning.
  
• Performing skilled orchard work such as pruning, grafting, and vine management.
  
• Supporting employee development and resolving team issues where necessary.
  
• Collaborating with other supervisors to problem-solve and share best practices.
  
• Reporting directly to the Orchard Manager.
