Sales Merchandisers play a pivotal role in us maintaining our world-class standards. This ‘grassroots’ role will introduce you to the world of FMCG and sales, where you’ll gain a strong understanding of our industry and, if you want it, a career trajectory within DB. You’ll be the face of DB/Heineken’s image in the grocery market which is why we value our Sales Merchandisers.
About the Role
It’s a 70% Sales, 30% Merchandising role. The sales side will see you need to build relationships with Key Customers and use your great negotiation skills to help our customers make more money by selling more of our stock. A successful applicant must have the drive to exceed targets and a passion for our brands. The Merchandising side is a physical role where you will build displays, fill shelves, and organize stock. Strong communication skills are necessary as you regularly interact with customers and your wider team.
This 40-hour-per-week role worked across a 5-day week, Monday to Friday. Hours are 8 per day and typically start at 8 am working till 4.30 pm, depending on your mix of customers.
We’ll provide you with a company vehicle, so you must have a full, clean New Zealand driver’s license, and you’ll need to be capable of lifting heavy items.
