Job Requirements

Candidates for this role should meet the following criteria:

  • Previous experience in dairy farming or a strong interest in building a career in agriculture
  • Understanding of or willingness to learn organic farming practices
  • Strong work ethic, with the ability to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Commitment to health, safety, and animal welfare
  • Ability to support and guide junior or newer staff
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Must hold a current New Zealand restricted or full driver’s license
  • Applicants must have full legal working rights in New Zealand and be available for in-person interviews.
  • Please note: this is a drive-in, drive-out role

Responsibilities

As part of the team at Tasman Organics, you will:

  • Assist with milking 330 cows during peak periods
  • Perform general farm duties such as feeding, calving, fencing, spraying, and effluent management.
  • Help maintain high standards of animal care and pasture management.
  • Work under the guidance of the Farm Manager and support fellow team members.
  • Contribute to the success of farm goals, including production and environmental performance.
  • Adhere to safety and well-being protocols in all activities
