On-the-Road Job:
This job involves working on the road, and work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required of the employee.

Responsibilities:

As a delivery driver, your tasks will include:

• Operating and driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.
• Assembling, installing, and setting up merchandise and products
• Preparing, packaging, and restocking goods.
• Loading and unloading goods
• Using maps and other trip-planning aids
• Recording trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems.
• Performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and overseeing all aspects of the vehicle.
• Performing preventive maintenance.
• Keeping a record of items received and delivered
• Driving lighter, special-purpose trucks.
• Operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• ensuring the safety and security of cargo, including tarping.
• Overseeing the condition of the vehicle and inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• Sorting packages.
• Following directions and reading maps.
• Recording cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.

Credentials:

• Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses
• Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles)
• Driver’s License (Class 3 or D)
• DZ class license.

Experience and Specialization:

• Computer and technology knowledge
• Operating GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment.
• Type of trucking and equipment: straight truck (4,600 kg+ or 10,000 lbs+ with 3+ axles).
• Communication systems experience: trip recorder (onboard computer), Citizens Band (CB) radio
• Transportation/travel experience: local.

• Travel expenses will be paid by the employer.
