Requirements for Cleaner Position
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Prior experience in a physical, fast-paced cleaning role
- Ability to perform tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting, and window cleaning
- Good physical stamina and the ability to move throughout the large facility
- Friendly, professional, and conscientious attitude
- Ability to multitask and work independently with initiative
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
- Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
- Willingness to comply with Skyline’s health and safety protocols, including random drug and alcohol testing
Responsibilities for the Cleaner Position
- Maintain the cleanliness of all public and operational areas, including gondola terminals, toilets, and shared spaces
- Perform general cleaning tasks: vacuuming, dusting, mopping, window cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing
- Restock public amenities and ensure hygiene products are available at all times
- Conduct regular checks of restrooms and public areas to maintain a high standard of presentation
- Identify and report any repair or maintenance needs
- Uphold Skyline’s quality standards and cleanliness expectations across the property
Other Responsibilities
- Work closely with the team to coordinate cleaning schedules around peak visitor times
- Follow strict health and safety procedures to maintain a secure and hygienic environment
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and responsibly (training provided)
- Represent Skyline professionally at all times, including positive interactions with guests and teammates
- Contribute to a positive and fun work culture by embracing Skyline’s values
