Job Requirements
Candidates for this role should meet the following criteria:
- Previous experience in dairy farming or a strong interest in building a career in agriculture
- Understanding of or willingness to learn organic farming practices
- Strong work ethic, with the ability to work both independently and in a team setting
- Commitment to health, safety, and animal welfare
- Ability to support and guide junior or newer staff
- Good communication and time management skills
- Must hold a current New Zealand restricted or full driver’s license
- Applicants must have full legal working rights in New Zealand and be available for in-person interviews.
- Please note: this is a drive-in, drive-out role
Responsibilities
As part of the team at Tasman Organics, you will:

- Assist with milking 330 cows during peak periods
- Perform general farm duties such as feeding, calving, fencing, spraying, and effluent management.
- Help maintain high standards of animal care and pasture management.
- Work under the guidance of the Farm Manager and support fellow team members.
- Contribute to the success of farm goals, including production and environmental performance.
- Adhere to safety and well-being protocols in all activities
