Job Description

Special T Swine Ltd. is seeking a farm labourer to join its team in Canada. This role requires you to be focused, reliable, and attentive to details.

Responsibilities

  • Handling animals
  • Monitoring animal health
  • Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identifying piglets, and castration.
  • Track and report on current feed inventory
  • Weaning
  • Feed and tend animals
  • Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
  • Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
  • Write daily basic progress reports
  • Set and monitor water lines, airflow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops.
