Job Description
Alder Ranches Ltd. seeks the service of a cattle ranch worker to join their team in Canada. This role requires you to be flexible, a quick learner, a team player, reliable, and attentive to details.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose livestock health issues
- Disinfect pens, barns, or poultry houses
- Handling animals
- Marking livestock as proof of ownership
- Monitor the calving process
- Monitoring animal health
- Perform livestock feeding
- Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
- Prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving
- Treat livestock health issues
- Weaning
- Fertilize and spray crops
- Harvest crops
- Feed and tend animals
- Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
- Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, or harvesting.
- Carry out pasture or pen breeding programs
- Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
- Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
- Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
- Perform general farm duties
