Job Description
Special T Swine Ltd. is seeking a farm labourer to join its team in Canada. This role requires you to be focused, reliable, and attentive to details.
Responsibilities
- Handling animals
- Monitoring animal health
- Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identifying piglets, and castration.
- Track and report on current feed inventory
- Weaning
- Feed and tend animals
- Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
- Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
- Write daily basic progress reports
- Set and monitor water lines, airflow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops.
