Job Requirements for Farm Supervisor Position

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Minimum education: Secondary school graduation certificate
• 2 to less than 3 years of related experience
• Strong communication skills in English
• Ability to lead and supervise a team of up to 10 people
• Must be eligible to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit holder)

Responsibilities for Farm Supervisor Position

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of farm workers and harvest laborers
• Oversee breeding programs and livestock management, particularly beef cattle
• Maintain livestock performance and production records
• Select livestock for sale based on performance and market conditions
• Supervise crop operations including planting, cultivating, and harvesting
• Ensure compliance with safety and biosecurity protocols
• Operate and perform maintenance on farm machinery and equipment
• Perform general farm tasks and assist where needed across departments

Other Responsibilities

• Support in recordkeeping and quality control initiatives
• Monitor animal health and report any abnormalities
• Train new staff on safety procedures and operational guidelines
• Assist in the planning and scheduling of daily farm operations
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
