As a major player in New Zealand’s foodservice industry, Bidfood services one of the country’s largest and most dynamic seasonal territories, supplying fresh and frozen food products to rest homes, hospitals, cafés, restaurants, and more.

• Schedule: Full-time – Monday to Friday (40 hours/week) + rotating Saturday shifts

Job Requirements for Class 2 Delivery Driver Position

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Hold a valid New Zealand Class 2 Driver’s Licence
• Must be legally eligible to work in New Zealand
• Physically fit and healthy – role involves manual handling and heavy lifting
• Strong verbal communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Must pass pre-employment checks, including:
  • Criminal History Check
  • ACC Check
  • Drug and alcohol test
• Previous experience in delivery driving or customer service is an advantage

Responsibilities for Class 2 Delivery Driver Position

• Operate a Class 2 truck to deliver food service products throughout the Northland region
• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately, safely, and on time
• Load and unload food products while following food safety protocols
• Maintain a clean and roadworthy delivery vehicle
• Interact professionally and respectfully with customers at each delivery point
• Complete relevant paperwork such as delivery confirmations and inventory checklists
• Communicate any delays or issues to supervisors in a timely manner

Other Responsibilities

• Assist with warehouse operations such as preparing and loading orders when needed
• Support the team during high-volume periods or staff shortages
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
• Represent the Bidfood brand professionally both on the road and at customer sites
• Participate in occasional training or development opportunities offered by the company
