Job Requirements for Civil Construction Manager Position
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in civil construction
- Previous experience managing large-scale civil/infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of contractual and commercial aspects
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders, subcontractors, and consultants
- A background in water infrastructure, drainage, and/or civil structures is preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
Responsibilities for Civil Construction Manager Position
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of major civil and infrastructure projects
- Manage site teams and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and timeline benchmarks
- Oversee budgeting, risk management, and contractual obligations
- Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
- Drive project performance and resolve technical issues swiftly and effectively
- Support the development of junior staff and contribute to a high-performance culture
- Monitor construction progress and proactively address delays or challenges
Other Responsibilities
- Conduct project reviews and provide technical guidance as required
- Assist with tendering and bid support when needed
- Champion continuous improvement and innovation in construction methods
- Represent the company at key industry events and forums
- Ensure compliance with all legal and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with senior leadership on business development opportunities
