Job Requirements for Bartender Position
To be considered for this role, applicants should meet the following:
- Proven experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment, including bartending or front-of-house responsibilities
- A genuine passion for people, coupled with exceptional customer service abilities
- Strong beverage expertise and cocktail preparation skills are essential for the Bartender position.
- Capacity to function effectively and calmly in high-pressure situations
- Proficient in team collaboration and communication
- Strong time management and meticulous attention to detail
- DM certification (or a willingness to acquire it)
- Adaptable availability, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
- A legal right to labor in New Zealand is required.
Responsibilities for Bartender Position
Bartender:
- Prepare and serve various beverages like wine, beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic alternatives.
- Maintain the sanitation, organization, and stock levels of the bar.
- Communicate with consumers in a manner that is both friendly and confident.
- Adhere to safety and licensing regulations
- Provide assistance with inventory reviews and stock rotation.
Front of House Staff:
- Greet and seat visitors in a professional manner.
- Collect orders and expedite the delivery of food and beverages.
- Ensure that the dining area is kept spotless and manage the turnover of tables.
- Address customer feedback and guarantee satisfaction.
- Please assist the team in ensuring that daily operations are conducted efficiently.
Other Responsibilities
- Provide support for inventory and stock control
- Engage in team briefings and foster a positive environment.
- Encourage the promotion of menu specials and the upselling of products when appropriate.
- Be diligent in adhering to all health and safety protocols.
- Participate in opportunities for staff training and talent development
Work Conditions for Bartender Position
