Job Requirements for Retail Store Supervisor Position
To be considered for this position, you must:
- Have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Have 1 to 2 years of related experience
- Be legally eligible to work in Canada (citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit holder)
- Be fluent in English
- Be reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced retail setting
- Be able to stand for extended periods and manage multiple tasks
Responsibilities for Retail Store Supervisor Position
As Retail Store Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Assigning duties to retail sales staff and coordinating their daily activities
- Ordering merchandise and managing inventory
- Authorizing returns and resolving supply shortages
- Selling merchandise and assisting customers as needed
- Preparing reports on sales, inventory, and personnel matters
- Establishing staff work schedules and monitoring performance
- Supervising and supporting a team of 3–4 retail employees

- Maintain a clean, welcoming store environment
- Ensure accurate inventory tracking and stock rotation
