Job Requirements for Grain Farm Worker Position

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• No degree, certificate, or diploma required
• Experience is an asset, but not mandatory
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada (Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or valid work permit holders only)
• Willingness to work outdoors in various conditions (heat, rain, dust)
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, operating machinery, and standing for long periods
• Comfortable with frequent travel between farm locations
• Steel-toed safety boots required

Responsibilities for Grain Farm Worker Position

• Plant, cultivate, and irrigate grain and soybean crops
• Apply fertilizers and sprays to enhance growth
• Harvest crops and prepare them for sale or storage
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment such as tractors and harvesters
• Carry out general farm duties including maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep
• Follow biosecurity and farm safety procedures at all times
• Assist in crop monitoring, quality control, and seasonal rotations

Other Responsibilities

• Support in inventory tracking and proper waste management
• Monitor environmental conditions to adjust farm operations
• Participate in seasonal farm activities like crop rotation and soil preparation
