Job Description

FreightMove Inc. seeks the service of a truck driver to join their team in Canada. This role requires you to be steadfast, focused, reliable, and attentive to details.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate the cost of truck repairs and new parts if needed
  • Address customers’ complaints or concerns
  • Mountain driving expertise
  • Arrange travel-related itineraries and make reservations
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • Drive lighter, special-purpose trucks
  • Load and unload goods
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee the vehicle’s condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Pay and receive payments for goods
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods
