Job Description
FreightMove Inc. seeks the service of a truck driver to join their team in Canada. This role requires you to be steadfast, focused, reliable, and attentive to details.
Responsibilities
- Calculate the cost of truck repairs and new parts if needed
- Address customers’ complaints or concerns
- Mountain driving expertise
- Arrange travel-related itineraries and make reservations
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Drive lighter, special-purpose trucks
- Load and unload goods
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Oversee the vehicle’s condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Pay and receive payments for goods
- Perform brake adjustments
- Perform emergency roadside repairs
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Transport and handle dangerous goods
