The Gates Scholarship is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for exceptional, Pell-eligible, minority high school seniors. Initiated by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, this scholarship aims to support outstanding students with significant financial needs by covering the full cost of college attendance. Eligibility Criteria

Must be a high school senior.
Must be Pell-eligible, a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident.
Must be from at least one of the following ethnicities: African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian & Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American.
Must have a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale.
Must plan to enroll full-time in a four-year degree program at a U.S. accredited, not-for-profit, private or public college or university.

Application Procedure

Complete The Gates Scholarship application form online.
Provide transcripts, financial information, and details of extracurricular activities.
Submit two letters of recommendation from educators or mentors who can speak to the applicant’s academic abilities and character.
