Job Requirements for Retail Store Supervisor Position

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Have completed secondary school (high school diploma)
• Possess 7 months to less than 1 year of retail experience
• Be client-focused and able to handle customer inquiries and complaints
• Be dependable, punctual, and capable of managing a small team
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication
• Be eligible to work in Canada (citizens, residents, or valid permit holders)
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Pass basic security clearance

Responsibilities for Retail Store Supervisor Position

As a Retail Store Supervisor, your tasks may include:

• Supervising and coordinating the activities of 3–4 team members
• Hiring and training new staff, or arranging for staff training
• Selling products and managing cash transactions
• Ordering merchandise and maintaining accurate inventory
• Authorizing merchandise returns and resolving supply shortages
• Ensuring smooth daily operations and a clean, organized workspace

Other Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests and complaints professionally
• Monitor workplace safety and follow company procedures
• Ensure merchandise displays are clean and well-organized
• Lead by example to promote teamwork and accountability
