Job Description

The client is experiencing significant growth in the Waikato region and is engaged in various sectors, including office, retail, multi-level residential, industrial, and horticultural. They have numerous design & build projects underway and upcoming. They are seeking a Site Manager with a strong background in commercial construction to join their teamThe Site Manager will ideally have experience delivering commercial projects valued at $5 million or more and come from a trade background with knowledge of New Zealand’s Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Industrial Relations (IR) laws. The successful candidate will have standalone experience as a Site Manager in a commercial construction environment. Responsibilities include ensuring team adherence to all Health & Safety requirements on site, setting a professional example, and managing various on-site activities efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

– Site Coordination: Lead and coordinate site activities to ensure smooth project execution.
– Project Delivery: Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
– Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve key building issues while maintaining the project schedule.
– Quality Control: Supervise and check works in all trades for quality and accuracy.
– Site Meetings: Conduct regular site meetings to discuss progress and issues.
– Sub-contractor Management: Supervise and resolve any disagreements with sub-contractors.
