Requirements:

  • Trade qualification in a relevant mechanical engineering field
  • Hands-on maintenance experience (breakdown and preventative)
  • Strong people skills with leadership and coaching abilities
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Experience with condition monitoring, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Certified TIG/MMAW welding competence
  • Comfortable using computer software for admin tasks
  • Valid work visa, NZ citizenship, or permanent residency

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and lead a team of tradespeople providing maintenance and reliability services
  • Utilize maintenance engineering skills to handle diverse challenges
  • Develop client relationships and seek new business opportunities
  • Perform diagnostics, fault-finding, and resolve customer problems
  • Handle administrative tasks like estimating, quoting, and creating job packs
