Job Description
Join the renowned Venues Team at Te Papa and Tākina, Wellington’s newest Convention and Exhibition Centre! They are looking for kitchen porters to join them on a full-time basis. As a key support role in their always busy kitchen, you’ll handle deep cleaning tasks, and you will be saddled with the responsibility of assisting with lifting and carrying equipment. If you’re a team player who takes pride in maintaining cleanliness and wants to be part of delivering amazing events in iconic venues, this opportunity is for you!
Requirements
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and storage, including HACCP principles
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen or catering operation
- Attention to detail and understanding of hygiene and cleaning practices
