Job Description

Poronui is a high-country station spanning 6499HA, located 40 minutes from Taupo, featuring an international sporting lodge along with farming and forestry operations.

Requirements:

  • Proven agribusiness management experience and knowledge of livestock farming
  • Expertise in deer management and genetics (advantageous)
  • Strong leadership and staff management skills
  • Sound, evidence-based decision-making skills
  • Ability to develop systems, analyze farm production information, and generate recommendations
  • Experience in health and safety programs
  • Capability to maintain farm environment plans and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Good financial management, communication, and organizational skills
  • New Zealand residency with legal authority to work

Responsibilities:

  • Lead long-term farm operational and financial planning
  • Drive optimal performance of farm operations
  • Manage health and safety and environmental programs
  • Optimize farm performance and seek improvement opportunities
  • Contribute to the success of the wider Westervelt NZ team
