Farm Assistant/Tractor operato

Job Description

The service of a Farm Assistant/Tractor Operator to join our team and assist with various farm operations. Accommodation can be supplied as a furnished 3-bedroom home for the right candidate(s). They are located 10-15 minutes east of Tokoroa.

Requirements

  • Experience working with animals
  • Confidence in driving tractors and other large machinery
  • Honesty and reliability
  • Willingness to learn and undertake training
  • High standard of tidiness and common sense
  • Fun sense of humor
  • Respectful and able to get along well in a team

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the milking of 650 cows in a 50-bale rotary cowshed
  • Operating and maintaining tractors and other large farm machinery
  • Performing various farm tasks as needed
  • Working collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth farm operations
  • Maintaining a high standard of tidiness and organization on the farm
