Job Description
NZ Farm seeks the service of a Dairy Farm Assistant with experience in New Zealand dairy farming who holds a valid NZ work visa and can start immediately. As part of a four-person team, you will be working with a 600-cow herd in a Herringbone Shed with cup removers.
Requirements
- Experience in NZ dairy farming
- Valid NZ work visa
- Ability to start immediately
- Skills beyond milking, including:
- Driving tractors and dairy farm equipment
- Operating loaders
- Yarding stock and assisting with treatments
- Putting up breaks
- Proficiency with quads and motorbikes
Responsibilities
- Milking 600 cows in a Herringbone Shed with cup removers
- Driving and maintaining tractors and other dairy farm equipment
- Operating loaders and other machinery as needed
- Yarding stock and assisting with animal treatments
- Setting up breaks and managing pasture
- Working collaboratively with the existing team to ensure smooth farm operations
