Job Description
An exciting opportunity now exists for an Electrician to join her highly collaborative and supportive team of go-getters. As the Electrician or Electrical Fitter, you will undertake electrical substation construction and maintenance tasks. You will provide safe, reliable, and cost-effective construction, erection, installation, repair, assembly, maintenance, and modification of all types of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical apparatus.
Requirements
- EWRB fully registered electrician
- Experience in the High Voltage Electrical industry (advantageous but not required)
- Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Physically fit, especially for heavy lifting, stretching, and climbing
- No pacemaker; physically flexible; manual dexterity
- Trained attached climber (advantageous)
- Not afraid of heights
- Full driver’s license with experience driving in various road, terrain, and weather conditions
- Strong experience in Health & Safety roles
Responsibilities
- Installing HV and/or LV substation equipment
- Plant repair and maintenance
- Primary plant testing
- Authority to work on equipment
- Worksite management and participation
- Equipment control and maintenance
