Job Description
Relocate to the Far North for an exciting opportunity with one of New Zealand’s most stunning 5* Luxury Lodges. They seek an experienced and skilled Chef de Cuisine to lead the culinary direction of this stunning 5* Luxury Lodge based in the Bay of Islands.
Reporting to the Director of Culinary, as the Chef de Cuisine, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning using beautiful locally sourced ingredients and elevating the already established high standards being delivered.
Key Responsibilities
– Develop and execute a unique and innovative menu featuring high-quality, seasonal produce.
– Manage inventory and ordering supplies, including working with purveyors to source the best ingredients possible.
– Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
– Collaborate with the front-of-house team to create a seamless dining experience for guests.
– Training and development of the kitchen team.
– Financial management, including labor, food costs, procurement, and implementing strategies to control expenses.
