Job Description

Situated at Auckland International Airport, their Assistant Customs Officers are crucial in greeting and bidding farewell to all international passengers. This offers a one-time opportunity to embark on your career with Te Mana Ārai | Customs, providing you with a genuine purpose in a dynamic and frequently fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

You will be in charge of:

  • Helping passengers with Customs information promptly and providing excellent service
  • Assisting in processing NZ Traveller Declarations and collecting revenue from items like cigarettes
  • Working closely with Customs Officers and airport staff
  • Keeping accurate records and updating databases
  • Making sure passengers meet immigration requirements and taking action when needed
  • Working full-time, with 8-hour shifts in a 6-days-on, 3-days-off rotation schedule
