Job Description

One position is available for an Academic Staff Member within the Tourism and Hospitality team in the Faculty of Business, Design, and Service Industries. The role involves teaching on the Bachelor of Applied Hospitality and Tourism Management. Within this role, you will contribute to developing future industry leaders through teaching in the classroom and online, researching, creating, reviewing, and updating resources and teaching materials, assessing ākonga (student) work, assisting with the recruitment and care of ākonga (student), and actively participating in the team and institution environment.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $80,000 and $90,000, depending on skills and experience.

Qualifications and Experience

– Relevant qualifications and experience in the field of Hospitality and Tourism.
– Proven experience in teaching and student management.
– Strong research background and ability to engage in academic research.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with stakeholders.
