Requirements
- NZ electrician registration with a current practicing license
- Sound understanding of Reliability Centred Maintenance
- Familiarity with high-speed manufacturing machinery with PLC controls
- Experience with PLC automation systems and, ideally, programming ability on Rockwell, Allen Bradley, and/or OMRON
- Strong Health and Safety focus
- Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Proven experience within a manufacturing environment (ideally FMGC)
- Strong diagnostic skills, including fault finding and root cause analysis
- Ability to react to unplanned breakdowns and troubleshoot issues
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within the team and across the site
- Resilient, great team player, and ability to work autonomously
Responsibilities
- Electrical maintenance and breakdown cover on high-speed machinery and complex operating systems
- Completing preventative and predictive maintenance and supporting breakdowns
- Ensuring all process plant repairs and maintenance are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner to support operational excellence
- Maintenance of electrical control equipment, pumps, motors, VSDs, conveyors, manufacturing, and filling equipment
- Managing issuing and receiving permits to work for the Fonterra Safe Work System (SWS)
- Finding solutions to problems and not just identifying them
- Supporting continuous improvement, including coaching and mentoring
