Pouarua Farms is a future investment by five Hauraki Iwi, located contiguously near Ngatea on the Hauraki Plains. These Iwi are progressive long-term investors with a centuries-old connection to this land. They have diverse primary sector investments across Hauraki and are tasked with building prosperity and longevity for their stakeholders. Pouarua Farms tells a great story of people and community coming together, nurturing and working with the land, and ensuring everyone thrives.

They now have an exciting opportunity for a Farm Manager to take the reins on ‘Farm E.’ This is an A2 Jersey farm that proudly supplies milk to Lewis Road Creamery. The farm is on track to achieve a 10-star certification, which assesses its farming practices’ technical, safety, regulatory, societal, and market needs. Quality is paramount, and we are looking for a manager who will embrace and deliver on these farming practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all farm operations on ‘Farm E.’
  • Ensure compliance with 10-star certification standards
  • Maintain high standards of technical, safety, regulatory, societal, and market needs
  • Lead and support the on-farm team
  • Utilize and maintain good infrastructure and clear systems
  • Collaborate with the support network to achieve farm goals
