Job Description
Are you a qualified engineer looking to transition from hands-on work to managing a busy workshop? This pivotal position is responsible for the efficient growth and continual development of the engineering workshop while overseeing the workshop team.
Responsibilities
– Efficiently manage the workshop and a team of approximately 10 employees.
– Take on new jobs, manage projects, and liaise with clients and customers.
– Maintain safe working practices and ensure all employees and sub-contractors have health and safety information.
– Delegate work and manage team members effectively.
– Quote/estimate jobs and projects and attend site measures.
– Order materials and consumables as needed.
– Ensure job records of work carried out, time, and materials used are accurately recorded and billed promptly.
– Perform incoming and outgoing inspections and quality control for all jobs.
– Invoicing (desired, but office support available).
