East-West Center Graduate Degree Fellowship

The East-West Center Graduate Degree Fellowship funds graduate students from Asia, the Pacific, and the United States to pursue master’s or doctoral studies at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. The fellowship promotes cultural exchange and international understanding between students from diverse regions. The program supports students who demonstrate leadership potential and are committed to contributing to developing their home countries.

Scholarship Worth: Fully Funded

Level of Study: Master’s and Doctoral degrees.

Nationality: Open to students from Asia, the Pacific, and the United States.

Eligibility Criteria

• Citizenship: Applicants must be citizens of a country in Asia, the Pacific, or the United States.
• Admission to the University of Hawai‘i: Applicants must apply separately and be admitted to a graduate degree program at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.

Application Procedure

1. Apply to the University of Hawai‘i: Applicants must apply and gain admission to a graduate program at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
2. Complete the Fellowship Application: Submit the East-West Center Graduate Degree Fellowship application, which includes:
   • A personal statement explaining the applicant’s leadership experience, academic goals, and how their studies will contribute to their home country or region.
   • Letters of recommendation.
   • Transcripts and test scores (if applicable).
3. Submit Supporting Documents: Ensure all required materials, including letters of recommendation and academic transcripts, are submitted by the application deadline.
