Job Requirements for Retail Store Supervisor Position

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 7 months to less than 1 year of retail or supervisory experience
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment

Responsibilities for Retail Store Supervisor Position

As Retail Store Supervisor, your duties will include:

• Assigning duties to staff and organizing work schedules
• Ordering inventory and authorizing merchandise returns
• Selling products and assisting customers
• Preparing sales and staffing reports
• Supervising 3–4 team members, including cashiers and clerks
• Resolving customer issues and supply shortages
• Maintaining clean, organized inventory and displays

Other Responsibilities

• Ensure store operations run smoothly throughout the shift
• Lead by example in customer interactions and service quality
• Adhere to store safety, cleanliness, and presentation standards
