Job Requirements
To thrive in this role, the successful candidate should have:
- Proven experience in dairy farming, ideally in a leadership or management role
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with farm management technology such as Farmax and FarmIQ (training available)
- High standards in Health & Safety, Animal Welfare, and Environmental Management
- The ability to manage farm logistics and maintain accurate operational records
- A full and current New Zealand driver’s licence
- A strong work ethic, proactive attitude, and commitment to learning

Key Responsibilities
As Farm Manager at Bell Hill Dairy, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the day-to-day operation of the farm and all seasonal activities
- Providing effective supervision, coaching, and mentoring to farm staff
- Managing milking operations and ensuring animal health and productivity
- Solving problems and managing operational risks as they arise
- Collaborating with the Business Manager on planning, budgeting, and reporting
- Ensuring farm compliance with all industry regulations and company standards
- Maintaining accurate records for production, staff, and animal welfare
- Promoting a positive and safe team culture
