Duties and Requirements
Management of broiler chicken barns (animal care, equipment maintenance)
– Operation and maintenance of heavy equipment (Tractor, loader, mowers, skid steer)
– Chainsaw, tractor, and winch operation
– Mechanic skills are considered an asset
– Welding skills are considered an asset
– Record-keeping skills are considered an asset
– Must adhere to OFF SAP (On-Farm Food Safety Program), CAZ (Controlled Access Zone – Bio-security), and Animal Care Program (ACP)
– Woodlot management – program development and implementation to enhance long-term value for AcadianForest species mix
– Wild blueberry hedgerow design and maintenance to enhance birds and native bee habitat/population
– Landscape design and management (lawn, garden, construction)
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Strong communication skills
– English is a requirement: Verbal, Written
– Must have a valid driver’s license
