Job Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in farm supervision or related agricultural work.
- Strong understanding of farm safety and biosecurity procedures.
- Experience in overseeing farm workers and coordinating daily tasks.
- Ability to maintain records related to livestock performance, quality control, and production.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically fit and capable of handling physically demanding tasks.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of farm workers and harvesting laborers.
- Monitor animal health and report any concerns to management.
- Assist in developing and implementing farm safety and biosecurity procedures.
- Ensure that all farm safety regulations are followed to maintain a secure working environment.
- Maintain livestock performance records, quality control reports, and production data.
- Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs.
- Hire and train new farm staff to meet operational needs.
- Perform general farm duties, including greenhouse cleaning and maintenance of farm infrastructure.
- Establish work schedules and procedures to optimize farm productivity.
- Ensure proper maintenance and inventory of farm equipment and supplies.
Other Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing new farming technologies and best practices to enhance productivity.
- Support in managing farm budgets and ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Monitor environmental conditions and adjust farm activities as needed.
- Collaborate with veterinarians and suppliers to ensure proper livestock care.
- Oversee waste management and ensure a clean and sustainable farm environment.
- Provide regular updates to farm owners and management regarding operational status.
