The Sydney International Undergraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship is designed to support outstanding international students from diverse priority markets. This scholarship aims to assist students in their pursuit of undergraduate studies across various courses at the University of Sydney, one of Australia’s most esteemed institutions.

- 100% Tuition Fees: The scholarship covers all tuition fees, ensuring that you can fully immerse yourself in your studies without worrying about the cost.
- Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF): The scholarship also covers the SSAF, which contributes to the services and facilities that support your well-being and academic experience.
Note: The scholarship does not cover additional costs such as Overseas Health Cover (OSHC), living expenses, accommodation, textbooks, flights, and costs associated with being under the age of 18. Recipients are responsible for these expenses.
Eligibility Criteria
- Degree Application: Applied for but not yet commenced a single undergraduate coursework degree (which may include embedded honors) at the University of Sydney at the time of award.
- The degree must have a maximum duration of four years. Combined degrees with a postgraduate component, the Bachelor of Arts (Dual Degree, Sciences Po, France), Bachelor of Economics (Dual Degree, Sciences Po, France), and degrees including the Bachelor of Advanced Studies are not eligible.
- Full-Time Enrollment: Must enroll in their eligible degree full-time.
- First Degree: Must not be commencing a second degree at the University of Sydney.
- International Status: Must be an international student as defined in the Higher Education Support Act 2003. Australian Citizens, Australian Permanent Residents, and dual citizens with Australian nationality are not eligible.
- Secondary Education: Must have completed secondary school (or a foundation program in Australia or from a University of Sydney recognized foundation partner).
- No Prior Tertiary Studies: Must not have previously undertaken any tertiary studies (excluding extension studies completed as part of a year 12 program).

Application Process
- Apply for Degree: Apply for a single undergraduate coursework degree at the University of Sydney. During the application process, select the checkbox to be considered for research scholarships.
- Application Review: The scholarship operates on the same assessment timeline as the Research Training Program. Ensure that you submit your degree application by the specified deadlines for the research periods.
- Notification: Only successful applicants will be contacted after applying for the scholarship. The indicative turnaround time to receive a scholarship offer is approximately five weeks from when the application is submitted.
